Evening all. I've recently bought an M100 Elan. After buying it stood for a number of weeks, inevitably the battery went flat. As is always the case it decided to hit totally flat at 11.30pm. At which point the alarm thought it's power supply had been cut which triggered its internal anti tamper alarm. My only option was to unplug the alarm unit, wrap it in a blanket and shut it in the garage until it's internal battery ran out and it shut up. Next day I bought a new battery and refitted the alarm. Everything works fine again except my interior lights won't go off. Anybody any ideas?

If I remember correctly the light are turned on by pulling the headlight knob out. Try pressing it back in

The underside of the rear view mirror has two switches for the map reading lights. Make sure they are off - could they have been the source of your original problem?

Battery drains are often caused by the boot light switch failing to turn the boot light off when the boot is closed.
