I'm going to Buy a Lotus Esprit GT3, i need advice

Hello there Mates.

First, let me introduce myself.

I've just discovered this forum, and it just looks like what the doctor ordered, some advice before buying a super Car.

The truth is that i had an Elan Turbo SE, a very reliable car, but a bit smalish and i'm a big person, so i trew it away (sold it).

now i'm looking forward to buy a GT3 for 28.000€ , i dont know if that's a good price or not, and i need some advice.
i'm not a rich old folk that buys a super car only becuase he's in the 50's crissis, i'm just a kid, 23 years old, who enjoys his ride.

What should i be looking for, so i dont get stuck up with a lemon?, do you think that Lotus need that much maintance? i had the Elan and i had the same problems as any regular car.

From what I've heard, look for a seller that has all the records (services & repairs).
If you are willing to be the mechanic, you will save some money if and when something breaks.
When I was 23 I had a TR7, really fun to drive,
but now I wish I had something like a Honda as a back up car.

i have the subway as my backup mean of transportation, my work and my home are very very close to the subway stations.

I'm certainly not an expert, but don't think the Esprit has much space for the driver either. I couldn't fit in at 6ft3.....

oh but i was able to fit in a V8, it's kinda low tough i'm almost sitted in the floor

check out lotus esprit world i was thinking about a esprit an prolly will get one in the future, but anyways its the best esprit site (best site i seen on any car actually) packed with info i dunno about euro prices were pound sterling here but gt3 go from between 16 to 20 k here depending on condition etc so you can do an conversion on thos prices
