Stability at Lotus?
Discussion
Read in this weeks Autocar that Proton have upped their ownership to 96% (Artiolli obviously needs the cash) Contrary to previous rumours that they were going to ditch Lotus, I guess this confirms their commitment, which, with the recent engineering contracts and new jobs, seems to indicate that Lotus is entering a period of stability.
Autocar also previewed the new turbo Vauxhall VX220 which Lotus are currently shaking down in the lanes around Hethel. This will leave the Elise trailing - I wonder what Lotus have up their sleeve?

Yep all good news at the moment
Lotus engineering have won some bigger contracts - they have re hired some of the positions they made redundant and they appear to have some development cars.... watch this weekend/motorshow for developments
re the vx220 turbo - I still think this car is aimed at a different buying segment - I haven't met a lotus owner yet who would trade, altough I have met some that don't mind the styling.
There are plenty of cars that leave the liz trailing ... so one more won't hurt.

Lotus will probably produce a minor update for the Elise after the VX220 Turbo is Launched.
Perhaps they will enhance the engine to bring some of the buyers from Vauxhall by perhaps Supercharging the Engine{Hopefully}.
Lotus are always one step ahead than the rest and while the Turbo VX220 is Lagging behind - Get it Lagging Lotus will slap'em

Actually Artiolli did not get any cash. As I understand the deal, Proton did not want to put in 100% of the money required to develop the new models with Artiolli owning 10% and not wanting to put in any cash. They tried to buy him out and his number was way off (The "smoking crack" number as we call it here in the USA. Proton authorized more shares, puchased them with thier investment thus deluting his investment percentage.
With their new cash we should see some exciting stuff over the next few years!!

Captain Muppet im still designing it ,you'll have to wait quite a bit longer!Sorry.
Took me ages to get the engine schematics of ferrari and the superchargers of Jaguar!
I have had some design for engines already but you HungryJim sound a fool and a pair of tit!
Ferrari cannot be mixed with Jaguar since the 'flavour' of the car would be spoil. You sound like my Uncle Faizal who likes men instead of the lady.
Adeewuff if you hadent picked it up the Jaguar Superchargers and the Ferrari engine suggestion was sarcasm.

oh FFS yes I can see its really dangerous saying "I drive a whatever" we'd be able to hunt you down and find you! Utter b*ll*cks, its fairly clear that you are a troll, I would guess 14/15 years old. You take the p*ss out of someones car but not willing to say anything about yourself for security reasons.

I know what you mean - I'm really regretting that I admitted to driving a 15 year old Toyota in my members info. :smilieshowingsarcasmsoobviousthatevenHJandChassisgetit:
Unless you drive something fantastically rare (MacLaren? There's a scary thought...) how is anyone going to trace you?
Come on - own up, you've got a Ferrari engined Punto haven't you?

Dont take it personally but you never know who is reading this and it could come back to me!
Yes you sound scared of this world. You sound like a boy who wets the bed and think monsters live under your bed!
If you do not drive anything then your comment cannot be good for this site.
Why don't you go and sit on the dog and pretend to drive it?
It will be the closest thing you can do to driving and the dog might even like you for it!
