Hello, I have just bought a 1974 502 which has 6 months MOT and runs.

Its a project...

Collecting it at the weekend and hopefully it will make the 100 miles back home ;-/

is there much enthusiasm for them on here? Cannot seem to find much. Any recommendations?

My normal fettle is a Porsche and this is new territory for me.

Cheers

Bruce

The nearest I've experienced is the Excel, but the Elite is a great bit of confident British eccentricity. I love a GRP underdog.

Have a look on RetroRides forum for CharlieCroker's Red Pink Panther project. Even if it's not what you plan, it's an interesting and clever project that created some interest in the older Lotus wedges on that forum.

Oh, and pics please smile

I've never owned an Elite/Eclat but have coveted them from afar.

So plenty of updates and pictures please.

lol, indeed.

I went to get it and it was not quite as described and I did not get it. Had arranged insurance and cash as well. Bit disappointed.

There is a couple on ebay ATM, bit more money but one seems very nice

Keep looking! A friend has just bought an 1976 Elite 503 for 3.75 K with new MoT. Scruffy and subject to an electrical problem, but a great drive and mega cool. I have just re acquired a late Series 2 Eclat that I used to own. Thread update on that car imminent.
