Spotted - Lotus 15(?) A452

Hi there
If it had a large bonnet bulge then it cold be a Fifteen but as they're rather rare (27 made and most are pure racers) then it was probably an Eleven. If you noticed small indicators then this would indicate a Westfield XI. All rather hard to do in a mirror!
Hope that helps

Thanks - probably an Eleven then I think.
I didn't notice any indicators and the driver had the roll bar behind him rather than raised bodywork so I don't think it was a Westfield XI.
I wound up going nearly a mile out of my way in the hope it would pass and I could get a good look, but it didn't pass me until just before I really had to turn off.

Westfield did both forms of bodywork (with and without the 'Le Mans' head fairing).I think it highly likely that what you saw was a Westfield or a similar replica - there are far more of them in road use than there are original Elevens.
