Hi everyone

Picked my new Excel this morning, loving it already. Purchased from a fellow Lotus enthusiast who has had it for years. Exactly the car I was looking for. Needs some attention to the paint and a couple of other bits (headlining and mirrors) but otherwise a great car.
You can see my other will be 'classic' in the last one!

Much under rated car in my opinion.

That looks like a very nice example.

Congrats, I have been looking at these closely last 6 months but not found the right one. Looks like a great car, good work!

Well done!
I bought mine a couple of months ago - it will be running on its Lexus V8 in a week or two.....
So, if you need a late engine or any ancillaries, let me know! Best for parts are SJ Sportscars or Lotusbits.

Thanks everyone I'm pleased with it. There were a lot of dogs out there.

V8 FOU, can't imagine a V8 in it bet it'll be awesome, hope you have a build thread.
Wonder what condition your air hose (to filter box) and the clip that holds it is in? Mine seems to be broken and a replacement hasn't seemed easy to find yet (though I've not looked hard)!

I passed/missed a lot of cars. Ended up being offered this by a guy on the LotusExcel facebook group. I was lucky to find such a good one in my budget. Worth joining LotusExcel.net some good cars pop up but don't stick around long.
Sure it'll increase in value.

Build thread on readers cars. Progress stalled for a week after a hospital visit. Back on it tomorrow!
Hose is good. PM for details.
