Is my car still alive

Hello.just wondering if my old 1987 lotus excel se is still alive reg D###ELE. I can't remember the numbers to the reg.I had it on 7216 RU .it was electric blue

Hi. Only just seen this. I owned an electric blue Excel SE about 13 years ago. I bought it from a chap in Wiltshire.

I sold it about 12 years ago. The good news, if it's yours, is that I sold it to my dad, it is still his and it is very much still alive.

If it is the same car I had the engine rebuild. I may still have some history on the car for you

It's now on A14 XCL. It was on that when I bought it. I believe it belonged to a lotus dealer principal when it was new. It allegedly has walnut instead of maple wood and a much lighter cream leather rather than the sandier colour normally available which was specced by him. No photos unfortunately although all and any info can probably be obtained from my dad with minimal fuss.

Hard to say with it having the plate swop.I will dig out some photos it was Mediterranean blue if I remember right.the car had air con and full leather.

Well it has the full leather, and aircon, although being a lotus, naturally that never worked. Can't have been more than a handful built, could well be your old car. Had gold pinstripe and lettering when I bought it. I removed the stripe completely and bought silver decals.
