I am sure I will get shot down in flames but from my point of view Lotus are producing some very tempting cars at the moment. The new Exige V6 sounds epic (and I love the nod the the S1 Esprit), the latest Elise also looks totally right. The Evora 400 is definitely my next car and the 311 is going to be mental, good times to be in the market for a new Lotus for sure. As I would be, it if was not for the fact that I am still in love with my Evora NA, no wonder it won so many awards when it was released...

cheers

I test drove an Evor 400 again at the weekend and whilst in many ways it is a better car, I must admit I still prefer my Evora SR.
Pleased you are very happy with your N/A...I've never driven one but from the comments on this forum you'd guess there is not much difference in the real world, so yes, great cars.
Must admit I cannot wait to drive the 350S Exige...if it drives as well as the write ups suggest, I will be getting one!
You are right there do seem to be some small but significant improvements which are making the cars far more appealing...let's hope the good work continues.

Saw this at Silverstone on Monday, looked ... purposeful!

I did ask for a pax lap but apparently it's the prototype so no joy.

Exclusive first drive of the 311 in the new EVO. Excellent 5 star review. Over half sold already, mostly the more expensive race version apparently. Along with the recent additions including the just announced Elise Cup 250, the future is looking good for Lotus. And shock horror, they are about to turn an operating profit!

Hi there, interesting post, would you care to elaborate on why you prefer the SR?

The seats are more comfortable (SR), the seat position in the 400 is a little high so you feel on top, and the steering feel is different. Having said that I have driven a few now and am very close to buying one...there are several elements which are considerably better! The SR is still a great car though.
