o/t FTP Address needed

Does anyone know the ftp address for the Lotus general forum at www.British-cars.co.uk

My IT department blocked the site but I may have a plan - need the ftp address

A domain look up gives 195.112.52.204

So try port 21 (ftp) 195.112.52.204:21 for example?

if you go through a firewall / proxy then there is nothing you can do if it blocks a certain IP. The domain name will resolve to the IP, and its that IP that is blocked.

You need to find another gateway out, one that isn't blocking it.

As an example, at work, the same thing has happened, certain address have been blocked. Our department has installed an ISDN line which we have access to and all external address we want that is blocked by the proxy we setup a route so that these address use the unblocked ISDN as the gateway.
