Lotus Elite project - help or advice please!

Hi all,
I've had my poor Lotus Elite sitting in my garage for far too long (around 5 years).
It's been 'rovered' to the 3.5 V8 with gearbox from the SD1.
On the way home from a leisurely cruise at a PH meet the starter motor engaged. Needles to say the damage was done and anyway and it was replaced thanks to an exceedingly helpful friend of mine (Bob_g).
So on closer inspection it seems the previous owner of my Elite used twisting caps to splice two looms together and well it wasn't a great job. Pretty sure that's why the starter engaged and the reason I decided to replace all the wires with new. That was i think back in 2009/2010.
I'm now somewhat out of my depth with the skill and mostly the time needed to do a proper job of bringing life back into her.
Ideally I'm looking to get in or be put in touch with someone near to Wednesfield (Wolverhampton) who would be willing to help either in any capacity.
I'd really like to see her roll out onto the road this summer if at all possible!
