I have recently heard that there are to be several job losses in the Lotus Sport department. This, surely cannot be a good idea. Lotus Sport is really starting to make a name for itself amongst die hard fans and first time Lotus Owners alike. I personally deal with them on a regular basis and have nothing but repect and praise for the job that they do. With Lotus moving into new markets everyday, surely now is the time to build on the success of Lotus sport, not strip it down. I seriously hope that this decision is re-thought. Lotus sport can only get bigger as more markets find out about their products and services. I trusted my Elise with them and hope to send My new Exige there too. The service and skill the whole Lotus Sport department was part of the reason for me selling my Ferrari and returning to the Lotus brand. The idea of having a specialist department, based at the factory, that can develop my car to my wants and needs is fantastic. The idea that this service may not be as readily available, to me, is simply short sighted.

My Lotus Sport prepared Elise went form coast to coast, over 3500 miles, across the USA with no problems at all. The Lotus Cars prepared car expired at the end of the first day, despite being three years newer than my car. (Brand New in fact.) Now tell me who knows what they are doing.
