Hi guys, I’ve hopefully found an Elise but when I Hpi checked it there is a discrepancy in the V5 issue date (everything else matches perfectly and the current owner is a doctor in intensive care so it should be ok). The strange thing is that hpi confirm the last change of ownership was the 16/4/04, yet they are telling me that the issue date is not the 22/4/04 but the 6/4/04. Is it me or am I unaware of time travel (yes I know that some particles will travel faster than the speed of light). How can a V5 issue date be issued before the car was sold onto the next person?
I’ve asked Hpi to look into this for me again with DVLA (they still said it was the 6/4/04 even after the first enquiry, but spoke to a great bloke at HPi tonight who agreed about the issue I’ve raised above)
Flux capacitor?
JCT 600 are checking the car over for me tomorrow and will double check that the VIN on the car is what they have on record.
Any comments/ feedback much appreciated.

Only comment to make, whilst HPI IS very worthwhile, they are not infabible(sp).

As long as everything else checks out I wouldnt worry too much.

Also, has it been on a cherished plate, as these can confuse such issues (ie document produced 6-4-04 relates to the NEW car!)
