Lotus have a smaller stand than last year, and no presence in the Moving Motor Show, but the stand was much busier yesterday than I recall it being the year before, and better presented. Lots of interest in the new cars and generally, IMNSHO, a better "buzz" than last year. The guys from the dealers seemed very positive, with the biggest complaint being that they can't get stock from the factory fast enough.
They also seemed to have more time to talk to those of us who own "older" cars this year.
Lotus Engineering also have a spot in the technology "bubbles" showing the range extended Evora in cut-away form. Well worth a look.

That sounds like good news and a welcome change from the 'smoke and mirrors' of the Bahar era. They also seemed to have more time to talk to those of us who own "older" cars this year.

Whilst there has been criticism from some quarters over the lack of PR announcements from the new management team I for one welcome their focus on building cars, addressing quality issues and fulfilling their forward order book which I understand is the healthiest for a number of years.
The problem last year was a a huge two tier stand to accommodate current and future (Bahar) models and concepts. Whilst DRB were able to pull the future stuff and focus on what could be sold 'now', I guess Lotus couldn't back out of the stand commitment to the FoS organisers. Consequently it looked a bit sparse and also swallowed up visitors without looking that busy.
In reality they had almost the same model line up as this years but in a space probably two to three times the size of this years stand. No wonder it looks crowded and busier than last year.
Anyhow, this is nitpicking. I reckon Lotus is definitely on the up. You never know, we may yet see the new Esprit break cover. I can but dream...

They were the featured manufacturer last year though so had to have a big stand. I think that with the new Exiges and updated Evora there is something new to attract people now. The range extender is v/clever (particularly the engine) but it was there last year too, wonder if anyone is developing it further? They also seemed to have more time to talk to those of us who own "older" cars this year.
