Hi there, huge long shot I know, but....my husband to be has loved these cars forever and there is no other car he would want to include on our wedding day.
Does anyone know of one for hire or anyone who owns one?
It really would be a dream come true for him smile

Or a lotus Omega..... smile

Probably best to contact http://www.autobahnstormers.org.uk/index.php More of the Lotus Carlton owners are registered there than anywhere else, I think.

You've certainly done the correct thing by thinking ahead.

Three things to warn you about in your search:-
1. To 'legally' act as a wedding car you need proper insurance (effectively the same as a taxi) which most owners won't have & would be too expensive to get for one wedding. So they & you do it as a 'favour' & take the risk (they're a mate & you asked scenario with no money changing hands Mr insurance bod).
2. Most LC/LOs don't come out in winter thus immediately limiting your search.
3. Despite some scaremongering, they are reliable but if something does break on them its not 30 minutes at KwikFit to fix it so you maybe left without a car at short notice so think about a backup plan.

With regards to asking the Autobahnstormers, you have. I'm the club treasurer & Julian is a member so between us we can ask the owners if anyones up for it (its a closed forum anyway only open to paying club members).

I hope this helps & we can help you (& future hubby) with your wish.
