Hi.

Recently someone has offered me an Elite project.

I'd just like to know what you think it might be worth as it is before I part with any cash. The engine runs, has log book and doesn't look TOO bad but that's all I have on it. However I have no idea how much of a budget I'd need to set my self on a project like this as this would be a first project for me. I'm not even sure It would be worth it financially but that's beside the point at the moment.

Oh, and thanks for having me here.

They're worth next to nothing I'm afraid. It would cost masses and be good money thrown after bad imho. Look for something else wink

Definitely not one to tackle if you expect to make money on it (don't confuse these Elites with the originals, market values are *very* different).

Most mechanical parts for Elite wedges are available and most problems have been solved. Brightwork and some trim is difficult.

Restoration will probably cost several times what the car would sell for, unless it has significant history. However, they're great fun, practical and always get a good reaction when seen out and about.

Thanks for the replies, I'll give it a miss then. Shame as I do like them but if it's money down the pan its pointless. I might have a 205 1.6 gti project if the price is right which should prove more fruitful.
