Dunno If anyone else has noticed this , but The 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed is being billed as a celebration of Lotus's 60th Anniversary.

Oddly I was at the Lotus factory in 2008 at the other 60th anniversary and as a momento bought a orange golf shirt from the gift shop with an embroidered 1948 to 2008 60th anniversary logo on it which I still wear.

Has Lotus history been rewrote again?

I had a brief deja vu moment as well, was at the factory in Hethel in 2008 too.
As said, this years marks the anniversary of Lotus engineering, but also, the elan has turned 50 this year.

And the Excel turns 30, and it's 30 years since we lost ACBC.

It's an anniversary that Goodwood have persuaded Lotus to go along with. The guys at Hethel don't tend to mark this but it'd be pretty difficult to say no to the FoS.
