Support from Proton
Discussion
As I have written before, I live in Malysia and I am sceptical of protons stratargy for Lotus, but full of support for their commitment to the brand.
So the other week I was at Sepang when I meet up with a few members of Lotus Asia's managment team, who I knew. I mentioned to them that I had a load of 900 engine parts I no longer needed and if they knew any one who wanted them I would sell.
They put me in touch with a guy who was rebuilding an Esprit S3 in KL and he has just bought all my parts to rebuild his engine.
Now there was nothing in this for lotus, just keepng a 30 year old car on the road, (and a car made before they bought the company), yet they went out of their way to help.
I just think it is an example of Protons support for the brand I'd like to share.
