Morning all im looking at buying either a 111s or a VX220 hopefully the 111s if i can find someone to give me insurance! Just wondering if anyone can give any suggestions on who to try for a limited milage policy for someone young? Most companies have all said that i have to be over 21 although my existing insurer for the TT has said they will let me have the VX but not the Lotus so im searching around to see if theres a way i can get insured without paying something totally ridiculous. Was getting stuck for ideas so thought id pop on to the lotus section which ive been reading alot and stick up a post to see who everyone is insured with! Thanks in advance! smile

I am suprised that they will insure the VX & not the Lotus. I thought the VX was harder to insure because of parts etc?

Both great cars but there can only be one winner for me & that The Elise, (Ive owned 2) Fantastic car.

I'm insured with Admiral, Admiral was far the cheapest price But, Get a quote off Moneysupermarket.com first, As if you go direct to Admiral, they charge you way more!

I'm 21.(1 year +6 months drving)

if you have other cars in your family, maybe worth trying a multicar quote? as it brings the insurance price down by alot.

Have you tried the usual specialists? CCI, Henderson Taylor, Footman James, Noel Dazely, etc?
