@ lottobear, the door frame looks indeed a bit awkward, no idea if that the same with the Banks models, slipped my mind.

a multi plus 2 owner, nice, always liked the Elan say mk3-4 FHC more, but lately I must say the Elan plus 2 lines grow on me, its class/style? and I guess could dive better? more GT? the the Elan FHC? no idea only seen them, never driven one (yet)

@BertBert, sounds cool, thats a FHC Elan I guess? Lotus dealer vd Kooi in the Netherlands also races those things or have raced those more in 26R look, light fast nimble, love those.

But I never forget that special purple Europa, but I get what you guys think, I one took a sit in one at the lotus dealer, and thought hm... narrow pedal box, but hey you can bent those a bi and some other things I forgot, then I thought hm, not clear if I really really want one...

If so then it must be a special one, one maybe ot original...
I long looked at one in Polen I believe, a black one with audi turbo engine, good power and the interior was lovely, thats what I liked most of it.

ah here it is>

Europa Headroom please?
How much headroom is there in a S2 Europa when wearing a helmet? I'm about 5' 11".
Thanks
I'm 1.80 and fitted in one I sat easily, but the pedals I would bend a bit for more space (LHD version)

Thanks Rene, was that with a helmet on, would I need a "roof blister"?
Was without a helmet on, I was visiting a Lotus dealer open day in NL at the time and they had a few standing there.

I do not know how much room was left, it was a while ago. so I hope others can help you with that.

Ah found a picture of that Lotus Europa I test sit in that day back in 2013 :-)

Sorry, missed this. The GTS is almost always the same as the 26R, just that the 26R came out of the factory as the 26R. The GTS were built as road cars then converted at some point. Mine was last "converted" in 2018", essentially a new build on TTR parts as many of them are these days.

It's a soft top with a hard top attached, not a coupe.
ow? hah, did not know that about the GTS and thought it looked like a coupe thumbup, I believe the 26R are also like that indeed.

I like the looks of a 26R but then say in FHC cloth, but with the fixed headlights ala 26R and so on, a stronger frame is also a plus I guess :-) nice stuf.
