Just had a good drive home
Discussion
I've been doing the F3 trudge a lot recently and have taken to coming off and using the Old Pac Hwy and other roads as a way of keeping up the interest, and had a great drive back yesterday...
Coming south, came of at Mount White and took the road down to Mooney Mooney and back up to Cowan. Have done this before and usually its a bit of a clear-the-head drive, but yesterday I had company. A trails bike followed me all the way, keeping a good distance back but clearly not backing away. A mutual thumbs-up as I peeled off back onto the F3 was all the communication we had, but we were clearly both having a good time.
There were no screaching tyres, or smoking brakes, or trying to overtake on short straights, and no physical limits were being broached, but the progress we made on an empty road was amazing. We were respectful around houses and going through villages, but when it was just a road with a barrier one side and rock the other, well, we made progress. It was one of those relaxed sort of enthusiastic drives.
