Gentlemen,

I don't think I can say ladies and gentlemen, as I don't know if ladies are allowed hehe

I mentioned to a couple of folks recently about membership of the RACA. Would anyone be interested in joining, ideally as a group - if we can get 5 of us together we negate the $250.00 joining fee. Also, I understand it is pro-rata, financial year ending in June, so we end up by my reckoning paying less than $500, over $200 of which is pre-paid spend. So, booze.

For this we have membership of the club, which has international links, discount accomodation (inc worldwide linked clubs), gymnasium (inc personal trainer if required), limitless snooker, and the most rarified bar/lounge/snooker hall/dining environment around.

What do you think of getting some decent threads on (no jeans/trainers or other bogan wear permitted) and have a few drinks/games one day and see if we want to join up?

Here's just a taster, this place really is beautiful:

Have a good look around their site if you're interested - I don't think the site does it justice, it's so opulent...

As I said, I'll check it out and let you know.

Also, my manager knows someone there and might be able to work something out.

Okay, ladies can join as long as they behave themselves.

A friend and I are going to head down there tomorrow early afternoon to check it out and have a couple of drinks if anyone fancies joining us.

FYI I just called them - one can't turn up and have a drink there and check it out, you have to be a member or a guest of a member.

How can you decide that you wou;d like to be a member if you are not allowed in first. Looks like Custard may be able to arrange this though via his neighbour.

Very nice Matt... Always had a soft spot for the Renault GTA...

I too was looking at 911s but I'd be stretching myself at this point. Now seriously looking for a

I can get access from the 14th on when my manager gets back from work.

Was going to go on Friday but I forgot she was off to Canada skiing.

I would be very interested in finding out some more, so keep us posted as to how the tour round goes

The international affiliate memberships would be interesting to know some more about, I might drop them a note

i am a member of the RACV club, just checked and the RACA is on the list of reciprocal clubs

http://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/Internet/Pr...

from the photos the RACA looks like it might be similar to the racv club in the city.

So does that mean you can sign us in and show us around?

I would be interested in checking the place out.

Seems quite cheap, especially considering some of the access you have to reciprocal clubs.
