A few of us talked about this on Saturday.

Anyone keen on meeting up on Australia Day for the NRMA motorfest on Macquarie st? Thinking meeting up around 1.30, checking out the cars then maybe heading down to the rocks for a few drinks – Hungry kids of Hungary and Cloud Control are doing a free gig.

So, yeah, takers?

Cheers

Looking like plans have changed due to Gina having an op on Friday. Will speak with SWMBO about this being an alternative. We spoke briefly earlier about taking the camper somewhere so that could be Sydney !

Beat me to it ya bugger.

I agree, 1:30 meet sounds good. Plenty going on:

I don't know if I'll be up for the after beers - maybe a couple but I'll play it by ear.

Recall I mentioned the open-air cinema afterwards? Well, I'm not up for staying out that late, but if any of you are, you could do a lot worse than settling in with some food & drink at the back of (free, just sit on the bank) here:

No worries about the drinks afterwards – is a school night after all.

Bob – if you want to come down we have an air mattress or free on street parking. If you take the tiv you can park in my parking spot at the unit and I can park on the street. Not a drama.

It's going to have to be a little earlier for me. Taking the Mrs and Luca in as Luca loves cars! Then onto Manley beach for the afternoon.

Will be in town from around 10am so if anyone is around at that time give me a call so we can hook up.

If not then have a great day and week.

Thang, I may be about earlier. Plan was to get in early, have a beer with housemate and others, then meet you guys, do the cars and leave. But if you're about, give me a shout. Most cars though if I recall correctly arrive midday-ish. As Andrew points out, it's still a school night.

Either way, we're all in mobile contact and (unlike last year) know what each other look like.

Another consideration for me is threats of serious temperatures/humidity.

In view of the above weather forecast (which is the same for up here too) we will give this a miss this time chaps. We are going to stay in the Newcastle area, not so far to travel in the heat and we can leave the dogs in the coolness of the house.
Hope you have a good day, we will be doing "Classics on the Barge" plus fireworks tonight on Newcastle foreshore.

Cheers, Vanessa and Bob

I'm hopefully going to have a walk round the NRMA display in the morning, as it's only 10 minutes from our house, but then it's the beach for us I think - I too am terrified of how hot it might get!

I will get round to meeting up at some point smile

Had a great day in Newcastle. Was at fort scratchley for the firing of the 6" guns - see fb for photos - and watched the speed water skiing and tug boat ballet

Sorry to hear about your very ironic misfortune Matt.

Another top day in sydney, Andrew, Nicky and I, plenty of awesome cars, chats, other friends...

Nic, if you could post up some pics that'd be great. Me, just the one
