Australia Day - Sydney
Discussion
A few of us talked about this on Saturday.
Anyone keen on meeting up on Australia Day for the NRMA motorfest on Macquarie st? Thinking meeting up around 1.30, checking out the cars then maybe heading down to the rocks for a few drinks – Hungry kids of Hungary and Cloud Control are doing a free gig.
So, yeah, takers?
Cheers

I agree, 1:30 meet sounds good. Plenty going on:

I don't know if I'll be up for the after beers - maybe a couple but I'll play it by ear.
Recall I mentioned the open-air cinema afterwards? Well, I'm not up for staying out that late, but if any of you are, you could do a lot worse than settling in with some food & drink at the back of (free, just sit on the bank) here:

Thang, I may be about earlier. Plan was to get in early, have a beer with housemate and others, then meet you guys, do the cars and leave. But if you're about, give me a shout. Most cars though if I recall correctly arrive midday-ish. As Andrew points out, it's still a school night.
Either way, we're all in mobile contact and (unlike last year) know what each other look like.
Another consideration for me is threats of serious temperatures/humidity.

In view of the above weather forecast (which is the same for up here too) we will give this a miss this time chaps. We are going to stay in the Newcastle area, not so far to travel in the heat and we can leave the dogs in the coolness of the house.Hope you have a good day, we will be doing "Classics on the Barge" plus fireworks tonight on Newcastle foreshore.
Cheers, Vanessa and Bob
We should hopefully be in for around 9.30
Will probably be there til around 11.30 so give me a buzz when you get in.
