Pretty bad stuff I'm sure you'll agree. Anyone here affected?

Brisbane is now underwater, the river burst its banks and the dams are overflowing.

All my In-Laws are in Qld, amazingly at the moment they seem to have evaded the worst of the flooding. Bit grim, Brisbane not looking good tonight.

It's pretty bad tbh.

I'm based about 40k south of the city so have avoided it apart from the fact our office is in Milton which is flooded. (i work from home so the only direct effect on me is that my voip phoen has died due to power being off in the city.

They are expecting a river peak in BNE of 5.5m at 4am tommorow morning. That is a fraction higher than the 74 floods. To find anything worse you have to go back about 120 years

Ipswich is peaking about now I think at 19.5m

40000 houses expected to be flooded in BNE by the morning.

Suncorp stadium is full of water too!

12 dead so far with 60 odd missing. This is likely to rise due to the absoloute torrent of water that hit Toowoomba (8m high) and other places down the range, most of which got hit at night.

They couldn't even get search and rescue out due to the weather for over 24hrs... not good atall

They are out searching now.

A positive is that is has actually stopped raining for now...

From yesterday, so it'll only get worse before it gets better.

Just heard from my mate in Brisbane.

He has lost everything.

The only good news is his wife and newborn bub got out just in time.

Hope they manage to salvage something before the cyclone hits in 2/3 weeks.

Living on the Gold Coast and okay here but brother in law had to leave his place in Brisbane right on the river.
