Import costs and charges

I was just wondering if any of you gentlemen had any idea what the costs and taxes are on importing late model second hand cars from the UK? None of the this living there for a year stuff just straight out buying and shipping it. (especially with the you beaut aussie dollar)

I'm thinking bout bringing out an e46 M3 to replace my daily.

E46 is a no go chap...Not eligible for import outside of the 12 month personal import scheme.

The import rules are the same. E46 can not be brought in as an import outside of the BMW network...I.E. The only ones you will find here are BMW Australia cars.

Now an E30 M3 can be done

yeah, but its still a 20yo E30 and i already have two of them... My Alpina is enough E30 for me. Bummer looks like i'm back to trying to find a post 2003 330Ci...
