Howdy all,

I'm heading to Sydney end of November to sort out a place to live and get some stuff sorted prior to bringing the whole family back in Jan.
I wanted to get a car for my wife, can I buy this and transfer rego to her without her being in the country?

Or do I have to put it in my name?

Cheers,

Robin.

I dont think you will be able to. You will need her drivers license number and her signature.

The driving license number itself is not an issue. I bought and registered a car without a NSW (or UK) license. But you would need proof of address.

Not very helpful I'm sorry but just to let you know the license number itself is not a barrier you need consider.
