Dear all,
Fresh from ebay for the princely sum of $1500. We have just purchased an un-registered 1989 Kombi Transporter. The T3 has done 200K kilometres, starts first time, body work seems reasonable and aslo benefits from a second row of seats. Have just checked it in to Volkspower in Burwood, for roadworthy and service. Will let you know how we get on. We may be looking to get it re-sprayed and re-trimmed into a proper shag'n' wag'n'. if anyone knows of anyone, that would be great.

Additionally have taken deposit on the Brumby...good ones of these are starting to become collectable.. sad to see the old nag go, but need the space

Will send pics through when I get them done..

That Brumby looks fantastic!! I have always had a bit of a hankering for one of these but as you say good ones are rare now and the good ones have a bit of a cult following so they are rare!

first car was an 89 brumby. got it with 38k on the ODO of grandpa.

if i had some spare cash, and another one with the removable roof came up id buy it in a heart beat.

then mod it with full wrx drive line.

a mate has a current liberty - 6spd. still makes exactly the same clunking noises when driven hard.

The brumby is no longer with us, very interested in the one in QLD for 24K which seems to have been modified well. But tragically no funds.

The van is causing headaches, seems like it has been cross threaded on the exhaust manifold and it's likely to cost a few bucks to fix. The roadworthy list is somewhat extensive. BTW does anyone know of anyone who can do approval for Modifications?
