Anyone recommend a car shipper? I have looked at a few and have been told some companies allow you to fill the car with, well anything. All the shippers I have had contact with say the car has to be empty. I imported a bike many years ago and got the worst Customs Agent imaginable, as a result I was hit with storage fees and it was Queensland Customs that sorted out the mess. So a good Agent contact would be of help as well. I close to Portsmouth so a a company based around there is best.
Thanks

I've not used them yet have started talking to the chaps at http://www.cargoonline.com.au I like the fact they can handle everything whilst I'm out here including picking up the vehicle in the UK on a transporter and taking it to the port. They organise all shipping and can sort out any compliance issues through a partner in Sydney (don't know about any other locations). They also make it easy to know which forms you need to fill in.

As far as filling the car with stuff, you can do it but my undertsanding is you may be charged customs duty and cleaning charges on entry to Aus.

That's terrific, I hadn't come across them and they offer exactly what I want.
Many thanks

Cargoonline are dealing with customs for me with my car. They work closely with Karmann shipping who is a specialist car shipping company in Exeter. In fact I drop my car off tomorrow and it is being shipped next week. Arrives in Sydney mid November then cargoonline will pass the car to complete car care to do the registration.

So when we get there on the 1st December hopefully the car will be ready. Can't wait!
