Importing a Motorbike to Brisbane.

Hi,
I'll be moving over to brisbane in november and i'm still undecided on if i should bring my motorbike with me or not?
I have owned the bike for over 12 months, so that's not a problem, it's a KTM so it's worth about £4700 here and there is only brand new ones for sale in Oz and there $15,500+, so it's nearly double to get the same bike over there, although I am aware that it's a new one.. where as mine is just 2 years old and has 1500 miles on the clock.
I know that there is a lot of information about importing cars, but i'd read that there is a different set of rules for bringing a bike in, import tax and GST differ i think?
any advice on what I should do would be appreciated.
also, do i have to keep hold of the bike whilst I am in OZ for a certain length of time? or can I sell it within 12 months?
