Heard about this whilst doing a puzzle to win a prize http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_Ration_Eating_D...
If possible I'd like to buy a few. Can anyone recommend an internet shop to do so. Thanks

Doesnt something just like that come in the ration tins or boxes the UK troops get?

I would have thought that any camping / hiking or army surplus type store would sell such a thing.

Tins are soo last century biggrin

If you want lightweight food get the meals in a bag that just need hot water, saves weight and no messy tins to wash up. Porridge packets also work well and can be mixed with dried fruit and nuts.
On a recent(ish) trip to the dolomites I carried enough food for 5 days self sufficiency but was limited by the amount of water I could carry and had to drop down off the mountains a couple of times to restock.

Then get one of those Spork's and you're sorted!

A jetboil stove sorts the boiling water bit wink

Shame you threw them out as Oz Surplus never replied to my emails. One day they'll turn up for sale somewhere.

I might have a few in an old bergen. I'll have a look.

Do you need the spoon end?
