Targa West is on the 26th-29th August with lots of spectator sections. I'm thinking we should get a PH Perth meet up happening to go and see some properly fast cars being driven flatout on the open road.

Spectator guide can be found here: http://www.targawest.com.au/SPECTATORS/SpectatorGu...

Northbridge show and shine? Zig Zag stage? Perth CBD super special stage?

Last year Sallie and I had a look around the Kalamunda stages as it is a 2 minute walk from home... might do the same this year on the Friday.

I hear that my mate (well my mate John's son) Peter Major is running a new GTR this year, Pete was running fourth IIRC in a very ordinary Evo 6 last year until he had some dramas, he ended up 7th so should go well this year thumbup

Keeping an eye on the live results, Peter Major is as I expected leading, and increasing his advantage steadliy over Jim Richards thumbup

I'll probably head into Perth tomorrow lunchtime to catch the final 3 stages in town and hopefully celebrate with the Majors...

O/T Peter is running the National Formula Ford championship series next year, don't be surprised to see him in a V8 soon also

Pete is flying
It is a shame Steve smashed the sump into the oil pickup and lost a engine on the first stage after a hard landing over a jump at whiteman park. It would have been nice to see the two cars with two very good steerers at the wheel go head to head, But that is rallying I guess
