"interesting" car hire in melbourne

i am coming to melbourne with my wife in november, we are planing to drive to adelaide to see some of my family and need an interesting car for the journey on the ocean road.

any advice or recommendations would be great, cheers!

Not cheap and I remember when I looked in to it some time back the mileage limits where silly.
