Discussion
Just fancy a bit of bogan racing before i rack off back to pommyland, and noticed that Kwinana is starting back up 1st September. Given its 3 months away, we might just have enought time to organise it

When are you going back to the land of Pom?
Whoop ass Wednesday can be a bit hit and miss. I have been a couple of times and once it was full of local guys in properly fast stuff and once it was all stock road cars and was dull as dull can be. They usually have a burnout competition at the end.
The Fast Friday events are good as they run the drags and the dirt oval at the same time so you can switch between what you watch.
Top fuel would be the best to see.
Occasionally they run a sprint event using the course used on Targa West. It's not normally advertised to much though so you have to be lucky to catch these events...well worth it though for the tasty tarmac rally cars.
Even in the warmer months it can be properly, bitterly cold there at night. The wind just howls down the length of the strip and there is not any shelter.
I reckon we could get a crowd together for whatever event though and have a BBQ at my place either before or after? I am only 10 minutes drive from the strip.

Think back between end Sept and Beg November. Wait and see if SWMBO gets visa, but fingers crossed. Google Ancestry Visa for a back door way in to the UK!Whoop ass Wednesday can be a bit hit and miss. Top Fuel sounds fantastic. I'm happy with any night, just a chance to go before i, er, go.
I reckon this is going to be the event to go to for the full drag racing experience.. http://www.motorplex.com.au/news.php?newsid=283&am...
I'm up for a bit of that.
Alternatively (and if you're still here) the Perth Powercruise is back again this year at Barbegallo raceway. I went last year and there's some really nice machinery on show. The powerskid competition is definitely worth watching.

It's an event for street legal drag cars - some of which have over 1200bhp
