There's a Rugby Bar near Circular Quay in Sydney but remember the time difference.

Alternatively, if you have internet access you can search for ways to gain access to BBC's iPlayer.

No fast internet access, so that one is out. There is an English pub in St Kilda (used to be full of backpackers years ago, so probably still is), so that might be the best bet.

Oh, and the only place I saw the results of last weekend was on SBS World News. It didn't exist according to Sports Tonight...

It is a rugby union competition (i.e. proper rugby) between Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Italy, France and England.

The object of the competition is to ensure England do not win anything. Nothing else matters, not even beating Italy.

So it doesn't actually include any of the countries that are any good at the game then... (Not that I have an axe to grind ... its not real football, neither is soccer).

And yesterday England didn't winclap We didn't either, (it was a draw) but as I said above, that isn't the point.

So. A Scot, presumably? In Australia, crowing that England didn't win. So glad I found this thread.

I thought both games were pretty lacklustre, yesterday, FWIW. Still optimistic for France v. Italy.

Well that was a dull weekend of rugby! Thanks god for France but seriously, what's happened to the game I used to love, it's unrecognisable nowadays - is there some underlying conspiracy to turn it into League?
