Not racing myself Pete but a mate has built an RX7 for Street Cars.
Last Sunday the weather was perfect for mid-winter, sunny and not too cold. We (PerthS wink and I)took a picnic and sat on the grass behind the esses, most pleasant thumbup

Next time youre up there, it'd be good to see some photos if you feel inclined to take any and post them. Racing or pits.

Don't often take photos myself but if you join Speedwest http://www.speedwest.net/forums/forums/ubbthreads.... which is run by Rob Haggarty (used to race in the 80s/90s and his Dad built the "Haggis" clubman cars) there are many photos and videos of current (and older) race meetings at Wanneroo.

The place has changed a fair bit, when was the last time you were there?

Looks like getting a substantial injection of Government money at last, to extend the track and build new pit complex to keep the V8s happy...

I was last there....2005 I would say.

New pit complex?! Its almost seems a shame to knock the old ones down! The place could do with some more run-off, thats for sure. Especially the last corner and the hairpin over the back. You wouldnt think extending in a place the size of WA would be hard would it? Parts of the new development on the right of Waneroo road just north of Waneroo, had just started whingeing about the noise when I left. tts.
