Nope. For Aus reckons it would cost $65-$70,000 (same price bracket as the STI / Evo) by the time they get it through Aussie Design Rules testing and complied for Aus.
Ford Europe already know the ins and outs of ADR testing though as the XR5 (ST) is built in Europe and I would think the RS does not vary enough in the places that count but Ford Aus wont budge...they do reckon that when the Focus starts being built in Aus in 2010 they will look at doing an Aus only version.

Thats not good news! I heard somewhere that the ST (XR5) only comes in 5 door as well? You would think a global company like Ford would be able 2 offer the same spec anywhere in the world, esp as you're RHD as well as us! Will let u know how i get on when i get mine in July!
Yep 5 door only though we do not get the ST 1, 2, 3 options. We just get one spec mashed together with the only options being ASBO Orange, leather and a sunroof. Everything else is standard.Gassing Station | Australia | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
