I'm sure I read around (possibly on PH) that its the only official import Ultima in Aus...I.E. It came in as a SEVS / RAWS import and is complied to aussie standards. Ultima does appear in the list of SEVS eligable cars.
I would bloody love something like that, so unique in aus!
If you are dead serious about that style of car you could find something a bit more local from: http://www.lfperformance.com.au/html/trfcar.htm
I think they go for around $90K finished. I think I would have to tweak the styling of the front end a touch but it does the job.

Even niche cars like Ultimii are being hit by the 'economic crisis'...The few that come up for sale seem to be going between £20K - £30K!!! I reckon the build costs on one here would be around the $80K mark but then you have to try and get the thing road registered.
I have always day dreamed about an Ultima GTR. It would be the closest I would ever come to owning something that looks and almost goes as quick as a Group C GT car. I would never say no to something mid engined and Italian but to me the Ultima is the purer car and would be the first hiding my credit card would get in the event of a lottery win.
