Right, whinging pom time.

Back in the UK you could happily read Autotrader and always find something interesting for any 1000 pound increment between 2 and 50 grand.

Reading Autotrader the other day i realised there is maybe one or two cars i'd happily part with cash for. The rest were just junk, boring or badly customised.

Anyone else find this or is it just me?

When I was a kid I used to buy autotrader just to browse and I always remember it being about an inch thick and made of that crap paper like a phone book.

Last time I flicked through one here it was really thin and just glossy dealer adverts....still like that?

Yeah not really any main dealer adverts and lots of people advertising junk commodores with bad rims and no service history...

I just sold our Kia Sorento on Carsales.com.au. Took a week so very pleased.

I wish Tim! Basically sold up the Kia to free up some cash for family stuff, and have inherited my dads Mitsubishi Verada 3.5 EH KI Station Wagon - 1999 with 243000kms! wooo hooo!! haha. And to make it worse its bloody burgundy.

However, it was free and is far nicer to drive than the Kia. Between 80 and 120k's its pretty quick.

There are some impressive mods around for Magna's. There is a mob in Perth that can supercharge them or do a twin turbo set up. There is a TT one that shows up at the drags as well as things like the AHG sprints...its bloody quick!
I always thought Mitsubishi missed a trick in not doing the AWD model as a manual.

I think it would be fun but with 240k's on a car worth $3k its not really worth it.

I'm a bit of tight arse with mods as i think it doesnt add value...

Modifying cars is fun but you are right. They are never worth the amount of time and cost you put in to it.
