When my Oz ex wife came to the UK she was really freaked out by snow, and ice! She was from Perth and it had never been cold enough for ice or snow.

What about the rest of you PH Oz lot?

Yep, snow a bit, one or two bits of black ice in the blue mountains/central west plus snow around Orange.

Just gotta drive to the conditions

Yep. First played in the snow up at Mount Doona Buang during a pre ski season dump with mates when we first started driving.
Plenty of times driven up on the mountains in the ski villages in 4 wheel drives (they don't let anything else up during the season, and only if you have a permit, such as Mt Buller).
And road a sports bike over the Snowy Mountains, in spring, with over 1 metre of snow on each side of the road. That was a very dumb idea! 3 hours riding over icy, a bout of light snow, to get over the other site of the mountains in just summer leathers is something I will not be doing again!!!
