Hello all

I'm emigrating to Melbourne in the next 4 weeks or so. I plan to ship my Honda SP1 to Australia, the DOTARS import approval form asks if I have a letter of compliance. Has anyone ever sourced a letter of compliance for their vehicle? (As my bike is originally a UK bike it has a mph speedo).

Thanks

Shane

Hi Shane,

I didn't need to do this when I imported my Lotus over, which form are you filling out, is this the import application (Section 9)?

I put NO to this answer and then went on to complete the personal import part (Section 13) of the application it didn't make any difference to my application as a personal import and nothing was delayed.

On the speedo... do you have just an MPH scale on it or does it show MPH & KPH?? as long as there is a KPH reading on there you should be okay I believe.

I put a post on here about importing a car recently which has contact details for shipping companies and import agents, my advise would be to use one of these guys as they are helpful and take all the stress out of it.

Kevin.
