Bugger - Car advice needed
Discussion
oh go on then - but its not very exciting.
Further to this post http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... part of my altenator is not faulty, i have found out the whole thing is.
Was wondering what action to take, but obviously (now) i have found a 2nd hand one $120, and a mechanic to fit it for $60. So $180 problem solved.
The cars only worth $1000 so when the original quote was for a new $550 fitted i wasnt that happy
Because it initilly appeared like a write off I was close to just driving it (before the battery goes flat) to John Hughes and buying a new car (that i cant afford) for the min.$3k part ex against a 2001 Holden for $38,000 as it seemed like such a good deal
