Well it seems we have a few PHer's in Perth and we keep threatening to get a meet up going so here it is!!

Put your ideas forward and we will try and get something going.

Being a winging pom I am going to put forward that we go on a hunt for decent Devonshire Tea with clotted cream and none of that microwaved scones with whipped cream ste.

If we agree to spend a few dollars the twin engined karts that run on Barbagello look a bit of a laugh.

Yep, I suggested something last year and then promptly did nothing about it. redface
At the time ISTR that a Swan Valley winery type meet was one idea, I think someone suggested that was a likely place to find clotted cream? (I'm another with a longing for a proper DT)

I did a couple of drives out that way last Spring, there are a number of wineries, breweries, and the MR chocolate factory.

Any other suggestions? driving

I'll be coming out to live in Perth at the end of this month, but will have head down with new job for a bit, but once I'm avalible, you can count me in.

However, I'm not sure what wheels I'll be driving, no doubt some cheap family chariot to start with until money stops dripping between my fingers!!!!

I have nothing very constructive to add, but from a purely selfish persective, any run should probably involve at least one rumble through the NB tunnel. I am sure I am not the only one who gets their kicks from winding the windows down and testing the structural integrity of Perth's only tunnel with hideous amounts of exhaust noise.

I;m up for it!

Unfortunately we dont own anything remotely good enough for a PH run (kia sorento and a 1993 stbox park and ride special magna) but up for meeting up. Twin Karts sounds great as well.

Tim, sorry no contact mate. Massive combination of slackness, my dad being ill and my mind elsewhere and my laptop buggered so no mobile number has meant that i look slacker than a brothel workers minge. sorry about that. if you can pm me the number now i can pick it up on my shiny new laptop.

I'll have a trawl back through the Perth posts for the past year and PM the link to anyone who might be interested. Haven't seen Chunder or RCA on here for a while?

Matt I thought I saw you tonight, I was leaving the Monaro Club meeting and a black Maser with the same style plates drove out of the car park. The bloke probably wondered why I was staring biggrin Just checked your profile pic and it wasn't your plate though, does Alf put those plates on them all?

Andrew I've sent you an email, I assume you're still at the bigpond address?

Tim,
I had the Mas in the city this morning, but gave the TT a run this afternoon through the Swan Valley, so definitely wasn't me that you saw. I do use it pretty much daily, so it gets around. Next time it may be easier to listen rather than look - it is the only black one in Perth with a Mille Miglia exhaust on it, and you will definitely know it was me - possibly before it comes into view.
On the other hand, if we get a date set for a meet, you can guarantee a viewing.

Everyone still up for this day out? MR2 wont be coming out to play anymore...just sold it and put it on a truck to the Eastern States tomorrow.

I'll be unleashing the beast that is....Vauxha Holden Astra SRI 2.2 with 90,000KMS.

Hmmm though it is due to be replaced...maybe I can convince the missus we should order something on the weekend!

Paul how long are you in Perth? ISTR you're driving to Brisvegas? Hell of a boring trip across from Perth to Adelaide, have done it twice, never again...

You just missed the V8s here last weekend, next race meet at Wanneroo early June I think.

I'm often up for a pub, usually on my own as my mates are all married and not allowed out rolleyes Where are you staying in Perth?

Cheers
Tim

ETA where in Cheshire? I have friends in Macclesfield & Holmes Chapel. Loved Chester when I visited.

But hopefully be able to rock up here next year as i`ve been offered a job.

As for cheshire i`m just in Warrington a stty little town between Manchester and Liverpool.Other parts like Chester are a lot better.

Have seen some great sounding cars around Perth and Freo and had a chat to some of the local hoons.God those cars are loud and i`m jealous as hell.

Anytime in the next 2 years I think biggrin

If we have enough people we could have a look at doing a Grand Prix event...A bit exxy though.
Its not listed on there but I think if you just do an arrive and drive, 10 minutes thrash type thing its about $50.

http://www.ultrafastkarts.com.au/pricing.html

I'll make some excuses now....I'm built for comfort so power to weight ratio will be slightly affected and as far as I have been able to find out Tim is some sort of ex, 19 time Bathurst winner so will obviously win.
