I need to do some hardcore mortgage paying off for a while and then I'm hoping to build a clubman or find someone to go halves in building a trackday toy.
Car: 1989 AW11 MR2 Supercharged
KMS: 177500 showing on the tacho.
Price: $9000
Contact: Me (James) by either replying to this thread or sending an email via my profile.
Some details on the mods:
Underbody:
Grooved front discs with new pads all round
BF Goodrich braided lines on all 4 corners
Koni 'yellow' adjustable shocks
Eibach Springs
Whitleline adjustable anti-roll bars front and rear
'twosrus.com' bush kit
Engine:
SC14 Conversion (larger supercharger from a Toyota straight 6)
Cusco 'Powerball' extractors in to a 2.5in system with twin exits from the muffler
Pod filter
Wade 267 exhaust cam
TRD valve springs
Adjustable cam gears
Water-to-air intercooler
Electric water pump
EMS Ecu with a mitsubishi sourced coil pack, the dizzy is only used as a crank angle sensor now.
The head gasket was replaced just a few weeks back by Tony Flood of Tony Flood Motorsport. He confirmed that there is an aftermarket cam on the exhaust side. He also confirmed that in typical toyota fashion the internal gubbins of the engine look to be in fantastic condition.
Timing belt also done at the same time.
Not sure on the power output. All the mods had been done when I purchased the car and as far as I am aware the previous owner had never had the car professionally tuned.
When the head gasket was done Tony Flood found the cam timing was not ideal so gave it a tweak. The car feels much better than it did however it needs to go for a dyno tune because as it stands the cold start and idle while cold is a bit on the average side.
Transmission:
Exedy heavy duty clutch
KAAZ clutch pack LSD
Rebuilt gearbox with MR2 turbo Synchros
Interior:
Interior is in good condition and is the popular charcoal/black.
Electric windows and mirrors all work. The mirrors also retract at the push of a button.
The dash has not lifted or cracked.
There is an aftermarket tacho and shift light fitted...the stock tacho does not talk to the aftermarket ECU and coil pack. I'm sure the right person knows how to make something that converts the signal from the coil pack but I'm no electrics wizz
Blitz boost gauge fitted.
Aftermarket gear knob and a MOMO steering wheel has been fitted. No idea if the wheel is a genuine one or not.
A CD player has also been fitted.
The targa panels are factory, mirror tinted...apparently only 250 cars came out of the factory with the mirrored roof panels.
The battery is a dry cell unit located in the front boot (normally lives in the engine bay).
No rust that I have found but at some point in the cars past someone has spilt brake fluid in the front boot and not taken care of it properly so the it will need a clean up and paint at some point. There is a small dent on the drivers side rear quarter.
I think I have everything covered...give me a yell if you have specific questions or want specific photo's.
Car is currently located in Redcliffe but will be moving to Rockingham next week.
Also the car is going in the paper THIS SUNDAY (13th) but I would prefer her to go to an enthusiast so I will be more negotiable on the price with a Pistonheader.
