Private race circuit in NSW
Discussion
Might be a repost but thought you guys would enjoy it!

It’s a private track on the NSW central coast owned by retired business man Dean Willis who apparently has a massive car collection that at one time contained Australias ONLY Macca F1.
Incidently his F1 was involved in a nasty wreck after a mechanic at the BMW workshop it was at took it for a test run:
As far as I can find the car went back to the UK for repair and was sold on...rumour has it the king of his circuit is now an Enzo.
The circuit was originally built with the aim of it becoming an international venue but the bloke who built it did not consult with the FIA or CAMS so it can never be used as a motorsport venue. Estimated width is only 7.5m though so overtaking would be a problem…I don’t know how long it is though.
Apparently several people have written to him wanting to use the circuit but always get the reply that only himself and people named in the insurance policy can use it. It is also said it has got proper road signage around it displaying speed limits etc as the insurance company were worried someone might accidentally find their way on to the track from the road and still think they are driving on the road!
Has anyone ever driven by and seen it?

Way off topic, but you may be interested.
One Sunday, in the early 60s the Morgan Owners club, of Oz were on their monthly club run, [the Mog Tourist Trophy], including traveling north up Central Mangrove Mountain Road, & then down a lovely back road into Wyong.
The lead bunch of cars included 3 Morgan +4s, an MG A a Turner, & a Sunbeam Talbot. All of these cars, bar one of the Morgans were full race prepared cars.
We were criusing in convoy, sitting on about 90 to 95 MPH [as was legal in those days], when, on the right, out of a pine tree wind brake, came farmer Jones, in his Austin A40. He puttered out into the road, turning right, in front of us. The first two cars, both Morgans, did a wall of death type thing, up the bank on the left of the road, & back down in front of him. For sports cars, Morgans always were very good, off road.
The next 2, the Sunbeam, & the MG, both got behind him, to pass on his right, but mostly out of control. As the fifth car, I had plenty of time to slow, & pass him in an almost normal manner.
As I did so, I was about to tell him what a bl@@dy idiot he was, when he turned to look at me, with a huge grin, & a friendly wave. He must have thought it was all a show for him.
I have never forgotten farmer Jones, or the fun we had in our cars back then. We didn't need private race tracks, the government built them for us, & guess what? We didn't have ant more prangs when we drove at 90 MPH than we do today, driving at 100 KPH.
