Ok
Moving to Perth in April
The house is built :-) the pool is on order
I have had the car 16 months BMW Z3M coupe so shouldnt be a problem getting it over
Question is, is there anywhere in and around Perth I can drive it on a track ?
I know if I just have it for the road i'll be banned in a month with your lovely hiddden cameras :-)
So really just wondering if i should bring it over or sell it before I come, or just get a bike for off road fun stuff
Oh and if anyone has a Business for sale, please let me know, as I have to buy one to get my Visa

Yep there are places to drive on track here.
There is Barbagello in Wannerroo... www.wascc.com.au
Plenty of racing there. Monthly sprints and hillclimbs. Monthly trackdays to.
There is the AHG driving centre... www.dtec.com.au
They do trackdays, autokhana, sprints and skid pan sessions
There is a small circuit in Collie which is a bit of a drive to get to... http://www.motoringsouthwest.org.au/
There is also the Kwinana drag strip if thats your thing, also has a dirt oval... http://www.motorplex.com.au/
They all do heaps of trackday type stuff and are all available for the many many car clubs in Perth to hire.
Cost is next to nowt (not including your consumables, tyres etc).
CAMS (Aus version of MSA/FIA) membership is worth getting to ensure you can enter all events.
You need to join a CAMS affiliated car club (listed on www.cams.com.au) which would start at about $15/year.
Once you have membership you send off an application to CAMS for a L2S (Level 2 Speed) license with $80ish.
A short time later your L2S license comes in the post!
Not ALL events require you to have an L2S but quite a few do now.
Most events require you to have a CAMS approved fire extinguisher (1L hand held with metal bracket and latch).
The actual entry costs are pretty cheap to. For the sprints and trackday stuff your looking at anywhere between $40 and $150 for a full day.
Have a hunt around the Aus based car forums and you will find an event to go to every few weeks if you wish.

Wow, not much more I can add to that, deviant has it well covered.
I raced at Wanneroo for many years, there is now a short circuit there as well (although the "long" version is only 2.6Km) as well as a "hillclimb" of sorts which I haven't tried yet.
The AHG track at the airport is only 5 minutes from home for me, I ran an RX7 last year in the sprint series. Quite good fun and low key compared to actual circuit racing.
As for joining a CAMS affiliated club, the best option (IMHO) is the WASCC if you are going to watch racing at Wanneroo (including the V8s) It is more expensive than most clubs, but it includes free entry to all race meetings including Paddock pass and members clubroom and viewing area.
ETA where in Kent are you from? I'm a man of Kent myself, born in Folkestone.
Also love the Mcoupe, haven't seen one on the roads in Perth but has been a favourite of mine (thanks to Dennis

I have a feeling that the M Coupe was never sold here....or if it did sell here it was hugely expensive (Like most BMW's here!!) and sold in very small numbers.
I have never seen one on the road and have never seen a used one come up for sale either.
Its a real shame because I would dearly love to own one!!

Interesting...they cant have sold many!
I wonder how badly they depreciated, might be a bargain if you can track one down!!
No doubt they were sold in a sufficient number to prevent them getting on the SEVS import list
A manufacturer only needs to sell 400 cars here for them to be considered a full volume car which stops them getting on the eligable import list.

There's one for sale on www.drive.com.au at the moment in NSW, $60,000.

No affiliation, just spotted it in the course of browsing.

I have seen one in Perth, Hay St, silver if I recall.
There was one up for sale in WA around a year ago, $55 odd I think.
Also around 3 yrs ago a fellow TVR owner sold his wedge to purchase one, I believe that was silver so could have been the same one. Not sure what happened as lost touch with the chap, the wedge is still around though.
