Hi all,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable car transportation company that can ship my car from Melbourne to Brisbane (happy to go depot-to-depot rather than door-to-door).
Cheers,
J.

I've used www.carways.com.au on a couple of cars from depot to depot and depot to home. Good service and pretty good price. I had no problem or damage to either cars. It was pickup and delivered as per quoted timeframe.

Ceva, Autocare, and Prixcar all do the OE moves and also offer transport to the public.

Depots as basically western side of Melbourne (Laverton) and Port of Brisbane.

I think they’ll do door to door as well though.

I'm right now having a car moved from NSW to Melbourne by Carways. Will update when it actually arrives. Very professional when you speak to them, but they said I'd get a call when the car had been picked up (I didn't, I had to call them) and when it had arrived in the Melbourne depot (again, I didn't - I called them). I'm told it will be delivered tomorrow, but as expected the call to confirm this today hasn't arrived (yet...).

20 minutes after writing that, I got a call confirming delivery for tomorrow morning 8-9am (ie this morning). They'd call when they were close by.
9.02am, no call. Knock at the door, and there's the bloke. He called but couldn't get through. We checked, he had the right number but I'd had no call.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Car is here, as described, and seems fine.

So overall I'll give Carways 8/10. They did all they said they would do except for phone calls. The price was good, cheaper for a door to door service than other companies offered for a "to depot" service. It took a bit longer then other companies offered but they were upfront about that and their estimated delivery date was accurate. Good customer service on the phone, my main gripe would be them not calling when they said they would.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I can see that everything seems to come out of Laverton (opposite side of town for me).

Prices were all pretty consistent - ended up going with National Car Movers as they had the dates I wanted.

Anyway, fingers crossed the car makes it up to Brisbane on time / in one piece!

Just as an update, car arrived in Brisbane on time and undamaged. Would happily use these guys again!
