John Cadogan - 'Expert'?
Discussion
I bought a Focus RS in 2016 ( 4wd ) and for interest joined a forum specifically for these cars. According to Cardogan I must be a hoon as my vehicle has selectable drift mode . I have never had mine in drift mode, never will, fail to see what this idiot was on about. He comes out quite frequently with dribble that would only interest the Daewoo and Kia set.
I watch a lot of his stuff (I'm actually Subscribed to his channel), I find him amusing.
He's usually on the ball regarding what's going on in the industry, which is interesting. His choice of cars less so.
But then he doesn't make money from people like me, as I don't buy white goods cars or new cars.

I still cant work him out. Think you're spot on about his industry stuff and even more his choice of cars. Believe hes a paid mouthpiece for Hyundai hence his jizzing love for them. He certainly doesnt seem to care how a car drives. He's usually on the ball regarding what's going on in the industry, which is interesting. His choice of cars less so.

Did find his recent 'what cars to buy video' laughable as he basically wrote off whole brands (some justifiably some not so much) rather than individual models. Appears his recommendations are based not on the 99% of the time you'll spend experiencing the drive but on the 1% how it'll be if it goes wrong.

He's been on the ball about Holden for a while, as well as the BMW/Merc/Porsche push to keep the import taxes and not allow personal imports.Did find his recent 'what cars to buy video' laughable as he basically wrote off whole brands (some justifiably some not so much) rather than individual models. I also think he's spot on about avoiding Jeep, Peugeot, etc. He's just focused on people (customers) who want a hassle free motoring experience (which would make his sales better). That's where Kia and Hyundai are good. 7 year new car warranty, sell after 5 for a new one.
I don't take his "what car" advice at all, as I'm not after a bland shopping car.
