Our fellow PH members did a great job of suggesting a place to take a photo of of mobile service truck whilst it was in Sydney with the bridge and opera house both in the background - Now I need to have the same done in Melbourne.

Problem is that you cant really stop and take pictures whilst driving past Flinders Street station - So where can we go to park a small truck and take photos of it with a Melbourne landmark in the background?

Trip Advisor was no help and I've never been myself!

Tried the MCG but you cant park anywhere to get a decent photo (building works all around), so went here:

But does it look Melbourney enough?

Looks dry, empty and I can see blue in the sky = not Melbourne.

St Kilda with the pier in the background? Or could you get a tram in the background somehow?

I’m stumped otherwise. Melbourne doesn’t rely on a couple of showy buildings to make it great wink

On top of some of the buildings in south melbourne, shooting across so that you get crown casino and or the arts centre spire in the background.

You may also get a decent shot shooting from Williamstown area down near the pier back across the bay so you have melbourne as a backdrop.

Banana alley so you get flinders street/yarra river.

Docklands/Collins street. Should be able to get the sports stadium and a tram.

Dynnon road or Footscray road area shooting back towards the city of the docklands so you get the wheel in the background.

Chapel street/stkilder or Carlton gardens near the exhibition buildings
