PH has given me the answers to many strange questions over the years so I'm coming to the well one more time!

I'm attempting a little pet project designing and 3D printing some car parts. However, I need highly accurate CAD models of the parts and simply don't have the skills or software.

Does anyone know a CAD designer or preferably a student keen to gain some "experience"?

If you do, please PM with details.

How many parts?

How complex?

Can you post pics or sketches?

To model those without some 3D scanning software is a BIG task. Good luck.

Not hard but without dimensions, just very time consuming.

MX5 uprights can be found on grabCAD.

https://grabcad.com/library/tag/miata

Many, including myself, have used them for kit car design work in CAD.

how did you go?

I mainly use solidworks. its not hard, Im sure you could pick it up. doing hubs and brake rotors is easy.

you can download things like bearings, nuts, bolts, washers, springs from McMaster Carr
