Hello all,

I am going to purchase a BMW E91 that is imported from Australia into UK. How do I check if the car is HPI clear and what other things I need to consider?

What about insurance?

The guy is still dealing with paperwork and sorting out the MOTs when I went to see it.

In terms of parts and services, is there any difference between an Australia model and UK model?

Thanks

An Aus delivered car in the UK would be rare. For a finance check go to https://www.ppsr.gov.au/

Australian cars are higher specthan the UK equivalents, the main difference will be the engine cooling, Aus cars are built for a tropical climate.

if I inputed the Aus reg plate on the website, it will check it finance in Aus, but what about in UK? I guesses as the car is in UK now, Aus cant do anything right?

any free website in Aus to check?

Would you said it will not suitable in UK winter? other than cooling anything else is different?

Thanks a lot.

The PPSR will only check in Australia and you really need to do it right before you buy.

If the car is already in the UK, you need to follow the standard process over there.

There won't be any issues with an Australian car in the UK from a running point of view.

Why on earth would anyone do that? Financially a ridiculous idea.

I could understand a HSV. But a diesel BMW that is cheaper in the UK to start with. Why?
