Question from the resident HSV 'perts- is this good value ($66k all up) and on a serious note any ideas what the fuel consumption would actually be like (yes I'm serious smile )

Honestly? I think half the price is for the name.

There are some guys doing pretty big numbers with the new heatbeat SCs. Active Automotove quote $14k for the 2.3L, fitted.

I know of a 600whp car on the old L98 engine (6.0) with a 1.9L charger on E85.
I also know of a VF wagon with 500whp with a 1.9L charger (averaging 16L/100km).
I also know of a E3 Maloo with 500whp with a 1.9L charger.

Now that sort of power more than makes up for the size and weight of a big car! smile

And my mate with the VE is thinking of selling it.

I've asked for an engine swap before he does.

Interesting.

I think the appeal is that you keep the warranty on your brand new car - possibly well worth it.

$66k all up? $26k for the Supercharger? ....that makes $40k for the car? I assume that is a 2nd hand one? I would guess $76k all up.
Maybe a

The warranty won't be with Holden it will be with a third party I suspect, probably not an issue.
A friend looked into it because he wanted the warranty too, this was on a Harrop W315 upgrade.
If it is Perth, it will go to one of their stores over there, ie not the dealer. Since they stopped Perth Street car I can't remember their name! I remember it is not Active, Formula?
